Miami Woman Arrested for Aggravated Battery
MIAMI, FL - A Miami woman has been arrested for aggravated battery after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the eye with a rabies needle.
According to police, Sandra Jimenez, 44, was involved in an argument with her boyfriend on Saturday night. The argument escalated when Jimenez accused her boyfriend of looking at other women.
Jimenez allegedly jumped on top of her boyfriend and stabbed him in the eye with a rabies needle. The boyfriend was able to break free and call for help.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested Jimenez. She is currently being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $7,500 bond.
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
"This is a serious incident and we are glad that the victim is expected to be okay," said Miami Police Detective Juan Diaz. "We are committed to investigating this case and bringing the perpetrator to justice."
